About Us

Towards fulfilment of the national objective of making India self-sufficient in milk production, a small step was taken in March 1975 and Jaipur Zila Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Ltd., Jaipur (popularly known as Jaipur Dairy) was registered under Cooperative Act 1965 to work in then Jaipur District.

 

Initially this union did not have the processing facilities. It started with a modest beginning of procuring 250 lts of milk per day. In 1981, Jaipur Dairy plant was commissioned.Over the years, there has been no looking back for Jaipur Dairy and significant growth has been made in procurement, processing and production of various milk and milk products.To improve quality, Jaipur Dairy has adopted quality management and food safety system ISO: 22000:2005. 

 

Core activities of dairy include formation of Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS), procurement of milk through a network of village level cooperative societies, processing and manufacturing of milk and milk products, marketing of milk and milk products under the brand name “Saras”.Jaipur Dairy undertakes strengthening village level societies on topics ranging from management of societies, clean milk production, animal health and nutrition, role of women in dairy, etc. The milk collection area of Jaipur Dairy falls in Jaipur and Dausa districts of Rajasthan.
