Operations

Jaipur Dairy is procuring milk from its 2 Milk Chilling Centres (MCCs) and 740+ BMCs operating in 8 zones of Jaipur and Dausa districts covering approximately 2800+ active DCS consisting of approximately 2.2 lakh members of which approximately 65% are women members. Our average procurement is around 15+ lakh liters of milk per day in flush season and around 10 lakh liters in lean season.

Our Milk Procurement starts from Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCS) to ensure that fresh and good quality raw milk is procured at the village level. Our procurement and collection of milk is undertaken with most modern equipment’s and involves the use of the Automatic Milk Collection Unit (AMCU) Data Processor Milk Collection Unit (DPMCU), which checks Fat and SNF in the milk and ensures a fair pricing system to the farmers.

The milk is collected in both or either of shifts i.e., morning and evening throughout the year, through the DCS Collection Centres, operators of these DCS are adequately trained in clean milk production, collection and testing of milk, dispatching and transportation of milk, operating AMCU/DPMCU, pricing chart of milk, record keeping, and reporting, etc.

Jaipur Dairy’s FOP (Farmer Organization and Procurement. Key activities performed by FOP are:

  • Survey of milk potential segments 

  • Planning and setting up of new DCS/BMC

  • Determination of milk purchase rate from dairy farmers

  • Manpower management for smooth functioning of MCC/BMC

  • First and second leg logistics management

  • Chilling of milk and dispatches to processing plants

  • Veterinary / Animal Husbandry Services

  • Cooperative services like insurance, Mediclaim and farmer welfare schemes

  • Claim checking and auditing

  • Extension activities like Zonal meeting, Farmers meeting, village awareness programs etc.

  • Manage and operationalize sale of cattle feed and ghee to milk pourers

Jaipur Dairy continuously works for the betterment of milk pourers as per the cooperative model. Execution of cooperative schemes like Saras Samuhik Arogya Bima Yojana, Saras Suraksha Kawach Bima Yojana, Saras Pashu Bima Yojana & Veterinary services for dairy animals at minimal cost and sale of cattle feed and ghee to milk pourers comprise the prime activities of Jaipur Dairy. Jaipur Dairy is running schemes for women empowerment - Saras Lado Yojana and Saras Mamta Yojana.

 

Jaipur Dairy has ISO 22000:2018 certified state of art aseptic packaging plant commonly known as APS; it was established in April 1984. APS using advanced machineries meeting global standards for aseptic packaging of Toned and Double Toned Milk. Since machines used by Jaipur Dairy were procured from Tetra Pak which is a Switzerland based company hence UHT milk also popularly known as Tetra Pak Milk.

Our customer portfolio includes defense sector, milk unions and local Rajasthan supply. Our Process is based on the principal of Sterilization of Homogenized Milk at Ultra High Temperature (140 0C) which is further packed in Multi-Layer Packing material in aseptic environment with no human touch. This technology enables Milk Packing with a long shelf life of 180 days (without refrigeration) which helps the population who are living in high altitude area where availability of fresh milk is challenge like army depots.

Jaipur Dairy sells its milk & milk products through a network of over 7,000+ retail outlets (6000+ shop agencies and 1000+ booth agencies) spread over Jaipur city and nearby towns. Retailers are most stakeholders of our supply-chain, they are given utmost care and attention and their grievances are immediately actioned. 

Retailers are regularly trained on various aspects of customer satisfaction. We have ensured that the consumer should not travel / walk more to fetch milk for his / her daily consumption. With this intention, strong networks of retail outlets have been operated by Jaipur Dairy. Supply of liquid milk is made twice a day for benefit of the consumers. Liquid milk is dispatched to rural area through a contracted fleet of insulated vehicles tracked with GPRS devices. Jaipur Dairy was among the first 8 dairies to be selected by NDDB for countrywide launch of mnemonic symbol campaign. Now we have shifted to our symbol to make our brand more prominent in Rajasthan.

Jaipur Dairy has taken utmost care to satisfy and delight its customers and consumers. Our consistent high ratings on ‘Customer Satisfaction Index’ are indicator of the performance of the Jaipur Dairy.

Jaipur Dairy markets ghee rural area through dairy cooperative societies along with urban supply. Our distribution channel is through urban and rural distribution network. 

Demand for milk and chaach is booked through tele booking IVRS system, contact numbers are prescribed by Jaipur Dairy.

Jaipur Dairy has stare of art highly automated Cattlefeed plant, located at Kaladera, on outskirts of Jaipur. Plant was commissioned in 2016 and has production capacity of plant is 300 MT, with 100% utilization. Jaipur Dairy make Cattlefeed available to dairy farmers through DCS by Kaladera and RCDF Cattlefeed plants.

Plants are preparing varieties of Cattle Feed available in range of 1kg and 25 kg packs.

In order to maintain the quality of the feed, increase the energy and the nutrition, the Maize percentage in the cattle feed has been increased and the feed is being produced in the name of “SARAS Gold”. Saras gold is a highly nutritive feed, having higher energy content, fat and total Digestible Nutrients. It will help the cattle to maintain good health and produce quality Milk. As the Saras Gold feed is highly energetic and delicious feed, with sufficient positive energy balance, has resulted in good reproductive performance in the dairy animals along with increase in milk yield and immunity.
